foxbaby: follow on vs toddler formula

When in your opinion is the time to switch from a follow on formula to a toddler supplement?

My son gets 3 to 4 solid feeds a day, but isn't a big juice or water fan so he still gets bottles throughout the day. He is 16 months (13 months or so corrected age)

toddler supplement or follow on?

toddler supplement
leave it as is
I like tick boxes

I'm not trying to be a bitch or anything, but why not cows milk?

I haven't thought of that.

Hooray I officially get some sort of absentmindedness medal ;)

Lol, it's cheaper! I'm hoping my son grows out of his allergies by then. ;)

I'll get some full fat cow's milk today and see if he doesn't mind.

I can always make a huge batch of custard with it ;)

This is a great question - my son will drink soy milk (we stay away from dairy), but still I'm worried about him getting proper nutrition, so I don't know when I should wean him off formula. He's 12.5 months, so I've been wondering...

I'm going to keep my little one on formula for an extended time. We use Good Start Natural Cultures and they now have a Stage 2 that goes up to 24mos. I doubt we'll have her on it THAT long, but she will still get it like once a day or so to help with her immune system (hence paying more for the natural cultures)

Dr will usually recommend you switch at 12 months to toddler formula(if unstable diet) or straight to milk if there is a balance diet. I switch at 12 month but my daughter was willing to eat anything.
